Vintage 1960's 'Into The Happy Lands' Framed Print On Board By Violet Skinner

Iconic kitsch print in original frame, becoming very hard to find.

In great vintage condition with some small signs of wear typical for an unglazed print from this era.

Violet Skinner is best known for her iconic images of galloping horses, which became hugely popular during the early 1960s. With the onset of mass-market printing, images by Skinner and other artists such as Vladimir Tretchikoff and Stephen Pearson were made available to many homes for the first time. Sales of prints rocketed and the artists became household names. Some critics derided the art as "kitsch" but sales were gigantic and nowadays, Skinner, Tretchikoff and Pearson are championed by post-modern artists and critics like Wayne Hemingway.

Measures 85cm long x 49cm wide x 5cm deep.
